Activated carbon, is a form of carbon processed to have small, low-volume pores that increase the surface area available for adsorption or chemical reactions. Due to its high degree of microporosity, one gram of activated carbon has a surface area in excess of 3,000 m2 (32,000 sq ft) as determined by gas adsorption. An activation level sufficient for useful application may be obtained solely from high surface area.

PP Activated carbon material use PP spun bond nonwovens as the carrier, use glue to fix the active carbon onto the PP spun bond material. It normally used in face mask and respirator cardige as a cost effective gas adsorption solution.

1. How can I choose activated carbon fabric for the respirator and masks?

It more depend on the user working environment. If there is high concentration hazard gas there, need to choose higher carbon grammage material to increase the gas adsorption.

2. Will the carbon particles penetrate the base material and come into user nose?

This will not happen. The carbon particles are fixed on the PP spun bond nonwovens.

3. How much material can be loaded in a 20 GP?

it can load around 4 tons material in a 20' GP container depends on roll width.
